Answer:

Because of Confederates victory, despite their smaller number of Army compared to the Union

Explanation:

The Battle of Fredericksburg is considered as one of the greatest Confederate victories. Led by General Robert E. Lee, during the American Civil war, the Army of Northern Virginia massively defeated the Union forces led by Maj Gen. Ambrose Burnside. With series of futile frontal attack after another from the Union, against the entrenched Confederate forces on the high ground of Marye’s Heights, leading to astounding Union casualties of about 12,700 soldiers, compared to that of Confederate casualties, which is about 5,300 soldiers.

The Battle of Cold Habor, on the other hand, was fought near Cold Harbor, Virginia, during American civil war as well, where by, three Union corps made a massive frontal attack against Confederate lines at Cold Harbor, Virginia. The attack led to a defeat of Union Army, in which, about 13,000 Union soldiers attempting to advance to the Confederate entrenchment were massively killed. The Confederates had fewer casualties of about 2,000 men, such that they were surprised by the carnage caused by the folly of the Union commanders.

Hence, Cold Harbor is often viewed similar to Fredericksburg, because of Confederates victory, during both battles, despite their smaller number of Soldiers compared to the Union
