Popular Cooking Competitions

(1) My family doesn't agree about much, but one thing we can agree on is watching cooking competitions on television. (2) For some reason, everyone in my family finds these types of shows extremely relaxing. (3) We are watching shows like Cake Boss and American Cookie Competition for the past several years. (4) We like to cheer on our favorite bakers, and we like to groan when an adventurous recipe plan goes wrong. (5) I don't think that just a plain cooking show has enough energy for us--it has to have a competitive flavor! (6) Lately, though, we will be trying to branch out and watch other types of shows, but we always end up back on the food network channels. (7) You'd think that we'd love cooking because we love cooking shows so much, but we actually don't! (8) Maybe one day we'll stop watching cooking competition shows and actually get into the kitchen ourselves!
