Very literally, yes.  Your future earning power depends directly
on the level of your highest formal education.

Of course there are exceptions.  Not EVERY college graduate
earns more than EVERY high school graduate.  But it's so nearly
a universal rule that it's definitely worth staying in school if only for
that one reason.
