If you mixed potassium, neon, and iodine together what would you expect neon to do?

If the ingredients were enclosed in a sealed container, then
I would expect the Neon to just lay there, totally oblivious to
the presence of any other substances.

If the ingredients were just piled on a tabletop or in an open container,
then I would expect the Neon to swirl around in response to any passing
breeze, and eventually to drift away from the pile, again totally oblivious
to the presence of any other substances.

Neon is inert, and doesn't participate in chemical reactions with other
elements.  That's why it's one of the gases called "noble" gases ...
those that remain aloof, and don't associate with the commoners
around them, in the manner of all nobility.
