A cow is tethered by a 100-ft rope to the inside corner of an L-shaped building, as show in the figure. Find the area that the cow can graze.
a. 20
b. 50
c. 100
d. 60
e. 50

Respuesta :

I'll be using the formula for area of a circle. because based on the given image the cow can graze 1/4 area of the circle.

100 ft rope will be its radius.

Area of a circle = π r²
A = 3.14 * (100ft)²
A = 3.14 * 10,000 ft²
A = 31,400 ft²

31,400 ft² x 1/4 = 7,850 ft²

7,850 ft² or  2,500 π ft²
