Squealer is a pig that is second in command to Napoleon. He is very persuasive and causes the animals to believe in Napoleons cause.

Squealer is an example of propaganda, or information used to promote a particular political cause. During Stalin’s rule in Soviet Russia, propaganda was spread (much like how Squealer convinced the animals to take milk and apples because it was “scientifically proven” that milk/apples are beneficial to pigs.)
