A ruptured spleen occurs when  the spleen surface breaks, pouring blood into your abdominal area causing internal bleeding. This can be as a result of hit to the abdomen. Symptoms include abdominal pain,   pain in the left shoulder,  confusion, dizziness, shock, nausea.
