Note: Technology only helped the Soldiers win their battles. But it didn't necessarily win the entire war...
New technology such as assault rifles (Like the well known Sturmgewehr 44) have helped the average infantryman to fire quickly to kill their enemy efficiently before moving on. The Semi-auto's (Like the Tokarev SVT-40 and the M1 Garand+M1 Carbines) have also helped retain the accuracy of regular rifles, but also allows for quick precise fire with a mere pull of the trigger.
New vehicles like the Higgins boats, and the new tanks of the German Reich were unlike anything their ancestors imagined in WW1. The tanks (Like the Panzer IV or Tigers.) would have succeeded if not for the fuel shortages of the German Reich. The real factor in winning wars is the ability to muster more resources, and men to fight the war. Had it not been for fuel shortages, the Nazi's surely would've won. (Just to prove a point)
