Part B: 
You would multiplied 6 x 40 = 240. So, the equation for S is s = 240 + 9y

Part C: 
Lastly you would substitute. Andrew earns 330. Now solve for Y. 
300 = 240 + 9y
300 - 240 = 240 - 240 + 9y (Subtract 240 from each side.)
90 = 9y
Divide 9 from each side, and you'll get 10.
