Above in multiples of 2
Bdlow you add 6
Answer:
Step-by-step explanation:
So what you have here is a table that would represent the equation for a graph. You will later learn this as SLOPE (rate of change).
Basically you need to figure out how much y changes for every 1 unit of x. You will use the formula y=mx+b. (m is the rate of change and b is the y intercept (that's what y is when x is equal to 0)) For this problem you are already given the y intercept of 5. So far we have the equation y=mx+5.
Now, here comes actual math. When x goes from 0 to 2, y increases 6 (5+6=11). This means that for every 2 of x, y goes up by 6. But were not done. We have to find out what happens when x goes up by 1, not 2. To do this you just do the simple math of 6/2=3. Your slope/rate of change is 3.
Alrighty ALMOST DONE! Now just plug everything into your y=mx+b equation.
Your y intercept was 5 so you have y=mx+5 and now you have your slope of 3 so your very final answer should be y=3x+5. [I included a graph to show what your line would look like :) ]
