Explain how it would be possible to have a change in a single base of DNA, but have the protein NOT change and be functional.

Respuesta :

If there is a mutation in a strand of DNA where a single base is changed, it is still possible for the correct protein to be created. This is because there can be more than one combination of bases that will create the same protein. This is called a silent mutation.
