The rise of the federalist and democratic were formed because of their views on federal and state governments. The federalists believed that the state government shouldn't play a factor in most issues and that there should be a strong central government that would determine most of the issues of the country.The Democratic-Republican party was the opposite, they believed that states had the more important role and they also wanted to fight a war against England again since they saw England as weakened by its war with France and they wanted to clear up old debts that they incurred before the American Revolution.
