Day 19: You throw a baseball straight up in the air, it moves
vertically, stops in midair, then falls back down into your hand. Which of Newton’s Laws explains the motion of the ball as it travels through the air and how does this Law explain it?
An object in motion will remain in motion unless acted upon by a different force. In this case, gravity. Gravity pushes the ball back into your hand after the kinetic energy is used up from throwing the ball.
