Milk of magnesia is sometimes used as remedy for "acid stomach". Would you expect the milk of magnesia to be less the 7, more than 7 or 7? Why?

 I would expect the PH to be more than 7 due to the fact that a base would be needed to decrease the acidity. Also being that acids have a value of less than 7 a base would have a value higher than 7.
