Respuesta :
The pressure and temperature inside a bike tire is 10 atm and 10 K
respectively, then the pressure of the tire when the temperature is increased 20 K is 20 atm.
What is Gay Lussac's Law?
Gay Lussac's Law states that at constant volume, temperature of the gas is deirectly proportional to the pressure of the gas and it is represented as:
P₁/T₁ = P₂/T₂, where
P₁ = initial pressure of tire = 10 atm
T₁ = initial temperature of tire = 10 K
P₂ = final pressure of tire = ?
T₂ = final temperature of tire = 20 K
On putting values we get,
P₂ = (10)(20) / (10) = 20 atm
Hence require pressure of the tire is 20 atm.
