It is a known fact that being sad and lonely is not healthy. If someone is alone most of the day and can't leave the house, how can he/she prevent himself/herself from becoming sad, depressed, and
feeling lonely? Give multiple ways please and explain why you chose those ways.

The person can call, text, IM, or voice chat with other people on the internet if he/she cannot leave the house. However, if they don't have an electronic device, he/she can always do other activities such as writing, reading, doing homework/house chores, or playing an indoor sport/exercise. They could also listen to music or watch videos to sooth their mind of depression or stress. Or, they could talk to inanimate objects to tell their feelings to. Or if not that, then invite a friend over to talk and do fun things with. Doing these activities could provide a minor to major distraction to the person's depression.
