Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion perform what is called big data analysis, that means they are concious that they receive a lot of data from different types of customers around the world that can determine the way a company does things. These "big data analyisis" companies gather together all available data and analyse it using advanced technology and complex algorithms. The information obtained from this process is then sold to other companies or investors which they use to take decissions or take actions.
