4x+2y=10
2y=10-4x
y=(10-4x)/2
y=5-2x
now u need the value for x and pick it
x= -1
y=5-2(-1)
y=5-(-2)
y=7
and one point is (-1,7)
and now you pick another value for x
x=0
y=5-2(0)
y=5-0
y=5
okay, another point is (0,5)
pick ANOTHER value for the x
x=1
y=5-2(1)
y=5-2
y=3
So another point is (1,3)
Make a graph, with x-axis and y-axis and plot the points
Keep picking values for x until you feel comfortable in connecting the points and graphing the line. Three points is sufficient to graph a line though
