When it comes to theatrical performances, interdependency is vital for an efficient show. Not only do cast members have to cooperate with one another while showing, they need to cooperate with one another by equally practicing their blocking and lines. Also, all of the people working on the set need to help others and get whatever they have to get done, finished and on time. if one prop goes missing, a whole performance could be thrown off-track. Every person involved should do their part and assist others in any way possible.
There are many more examples of interdependency back-stage. If someone needs a quick change, it helps if the person in charge of their costume puts it in the correct place at the right time. Or, a person might be in charge of lights and forget to put it on someone or something at the correct time and mess up the performance. In addition, someone who may be in charge of playing a certain sound and may forget. The emphasis of the situation may be garbled.
