Iqbal was a young Pakistani boy who was working in the carpet factory. He was forced into bonded labor to pay off his mother's debts.
He was forced to work for longer hours. The children who worked in the carpet factory were not allowed even to speak with each other.
His attempts to carpet ended in vain, and he was punished for trying to escape. Under the clutches of poverty and slavery, Iqbal still believed there will be some hope.
After being liberated from slavery, he went to study in the Bonded Labor Liberation Front (BLLF School). He then became a social activist with a view of abolishing bonded labor.
He won an award in the US. After returning home, at the age of 12, he was murdered.
