Sound can be described as a pressure wave that takes place when something vibrates causing particles to bump into each other and then bounce apart.

Volume in relation to sound is also called loudness relating to the maximim pressure exerted as particles are present together making them vibrate. Loudness is measured in decibels; a measure of intensity of how much energy this pressure wave has.

Frequency also relates to the pitch, meaning how many times in a second does the particle vibrate. Frequency is measured in hertz, for sounds it is referred to as the number of pressure waves per second/number of vibrations in the second this particles make as they transmit the sound.
