If you had a cup of salt water, could you get the salt out by pouring it through a cloth?

I'm just trying to figure something out and my brain is deciding to malfunction. I'm hoping this can help organize things. You know, maybe.

This might get a little salt out but you will need to evaporate the water to completely get the salt out. Once you evaporate the water all that will be left is the salt
