Nemo is a bit of an odd duck, a man with a bright scientific mind but a loner. He enjoys being alone so much that he crafted and captained a submarine that trolled the sea deep beneath its surface. Yet, he's a man who knows what he believes, exclaiming at one point, ''I am not what you call a civilized man!''
