Make sure that your house wouldnt be affected by the flood, and if it is be cautious and always watch the news! It will be very informational on what is going on.
Personally speaking I would gather all supplies completely necessary for my health. Things like water, food, solar powered flashlights, etc. You never know how long you will need to wait it out and whats to come next.
