Meiosis
It is a type of cell division that takes place only in the s-ex cells or reproductive cells. It produces four daughter cells with a reduced number of chromosomes, to be exactly half the number of chromosomes to the parent cells.
These daughter cells are called gametes and to be the standpoint of a number of chromosomes these are called haploid cells. In the given diagram cell 1 is a male s-ex cell called sperm and cell 2 is an egg cell which is also a s-ex cell. Both cell 1 and cell 2 are haploid cells whereas is cell 3 is a zygote which is a diploid cell.
