Answer: For example, suppose we use 2 as a subsitute for x,

               If $\frac{2}{2} =1$

      Then    $\frac{2^1}{2^1}=1$

               $2^{1-1} =1$

               $2^{0}=1$

Therefore any number or pronumeral, (including x) to the power of 0 equals 1.
