Formation of the particular regiochemistry:
- Regiochemistry is the process that favors the formation of bond at a specific atom over the other possible bondable atoms.
- The description of any of the regiochemical reaction is said to be the regiochemistry of the reaction.
- The reaction occuring in the reaction is regioselective as the bonding atom is chosen by the process.
- This process can be applied to certain reactions namely, addition to pi ligands.
