Dr. Adewale Troutman  link the individual responsibility within the context of social determinants because social determinants always get in the way of individual responsibility, individual responsibly is not an independent factor but depends on the society to function.
If we are to focus exclusively on individual responsibility we might missed the chance of why the effects of individual decision affects one's way in the manner that they do. we have the choice to take responsibility for our well being but socioeconomic factor of the society might not permit it.For example a twin separated at birth, living apart without the knowledge of one another, their development will be different based on their economic state, eating habit and living standard .
Individualism should not be exclusively focus upon but the socio-economic state , the overall standard of life and quality living must be emphasis .
