The sea is a symbol of chaos in my opinion, because of how the waves behave when its stormy, or when people are surfing. It can also stand for destruction,and wildness. It also has a calming side to it, and a sense of space  to dream and hope about the future.

I think the sea can be calm. At the same time, it can also be of chaos and destruction. You never know what to expect with the sea. One second, it could be peaceful and calm; the next, it can be wild and dangerous. I think the sea could be a symbol of being wild, unpredictable, calm/peaceful, or dangerous.
