mgh   = 1/2 mv²

gh = 1/2 v²

9.8 x 32 = 1/2 v²

627.2 =   v²

v = 25.04 m/s

we know that v = displacement /time

           =   25.04   = 32 /t

t = 1.3 sec

It takes 1.3 sec for the object to reach the ground.
