The demographic transition is a theory that refers to the changes in the birth and death rates in society. The first stage is a pre-industrialized societies were death and birth rates are high and remains till the 18th century. The stage two is the developing country where the death rates drop ad due to the improvement in the health and medical aid facilities.
In the third stage, the decline in the birth created by the decline in the fertility rates by the increase of education and urbanization and the increase of the parental investments take place. And in the fourth stage, the birth and deaths are both low but the birth rates decline further down.
