The approach involved in emic generally observes about the thinking and though process of peoples locally, things that have high value to them, their imagination and descriptions about certain things etc. The advantage is that they will study with respect to the subject which is called contextualization. The disadvantages includes things like misinterpretations and they are not generalized as etic since epic will focus only the culture and its customs.
