The reason I would use the 10 commandments to build the theoretical foundation for operating a business is that they are basic and morally right, flexible and can provide the business a high level of dedication to the business operations. However, even though they provide a very solid ideology to perform a procedure with high grades of commitment and responsibility they don't really talk about the competence of a free market so they require support in that area.
Honestly, they are really flexible and can provide a very good tool to develop a business idea. But they were created on the commitment to do good following god's lessons. But he didn't build them to business, that is why they need to be helped to bring help to that area. So we can provide a very good service or product with the best of intentions, but if we don't know anything about competitivity we are going to fail as a business even though our philosophy I right.
If I were to build a business based on Biblical principles, I would focus mostly on the Old Testament. This is because this section of the Bible concerns itself with more specific questions about everyday life. Therefore, it would most likely have more information on business.
Out of the Old Testament, there are some particular passages that would most likely work as the cornerstone of my practices. For example:

Other principles that would need to be considered would be honesty, humility, hard-work, tolerance and charity.
The practices that would stem from this philosophy would include making sure that whatever business I operate does not contradict the teachings of the Bible. I would also have to make sure that it does not bring a negative impact to the world, and that the money I obtain is used for positive things.
