According to Document 4, Confucius identifies a strong leader to be very virtuous. He believes that a leader can achieve this through hard work, education, and experience. Confucius states in paragraph 3 that people will follow a leader who is responsible and dutiful, but if the leader “...does not set himself right, even his commands will not be obeyed.” Meaning, in his definition, a leader must follow and respect laws and be wise about his decisions. I agree with these statements Confucius made and his belief that leaders should be virtuous. These qualities are of importance in political/government leaders.
