The opposite of an integer, we just change its sign. If it is negative, change to positive. If it is a positive change to negative.
What is conjecture?
The formation or expression of an opinion or theory without sufficient evidence for proof.
When you are writing a conjecture two things happen: You must notice some kind of pattern or make some kind of observation.
For example, you noticed that the list is counting up by 2s.
You form a conclusion based on the pattern that you observed, just like you concluded that 14 would be the next number.
To find the opposite of an integer, we just change its sign. If it is negative, change to positive. If it is a positive change to negative.
To subtract an integer, we can rewrite it as adding the opposite.
For eg.
3 − 2 = 3 + (−2)
3 − (−2) = 3 + (+2)
