Inputs of information as stimuli or signals are processed to the brain through the afferent neurons, the pathway these signals follows is the interneurons and the feedback response is relayed to the targeted areas via the efferent neurons.
The Central nervous system also consist of Non-neuronal cells such as they glia cells whose main function is to provide homeostatsis(maintaining the internal environment), formation of the myelin( lipid fats that surronds the axon of the nerve cells) and to provide support, protect and proffers firmness to the neurons in the Central Nervous System.
