When we perceive things our attention plays a great role. When you watch a movie you missed some blooper scenes. Why this happened because of inattention. It is called inattention blindness. When you focus n a particular character, you did not notice another unexpected thing that enters your visual field or maybe you missed that unexpected thing.
The same thing happened with Peter when he was drawing his car. He dis not notice the sign stating near his exit. This happened because of inattention blindness.
