It’s is an autosomal trait as father passes it on to his son, however you cannot tell whether it is dominant or recessive as the father may have a ‘Aa’ genotype and pass the dominant allele onto the affected offspring ( meaning the trait is dominant), or the father might have a ‘aa’ genotype and the mother a carrier (Aa genotype) and each pass an affected allele onto affected offspring while unaffected offspring are carriers.
