The Crusades drove the Seljuk Turks out of the area, but it also opened up Byzantium to Latin aggression. Also, the Fourth Crusade (made up of Latin Crusaders) sacked Byzantium and greatly reduced power in the empire.

Answer:

The way in which Christian Crusades contribuited to the decline of the bysantine empire was that

Latin crusaders turned against the byzantines making the lose a great amount of territory.

Explanation:

The Latin crusaders heard the call of the pope and started a quest to recover the sacred land, they started to invade the byzantine empire and while they obtained rule over certain territory they managed to establish a settlement and decided to create the Latin Empire of Constantinople and chose its king and leaders from the Latin army ranks. This constant crusades and the lack of support and ways to sustain war against the european powers led the byzantine empire to decrease and be replaced. The former Empire of Constantinopla then became the Ottoman empire and turkey.
