b. Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was a political protest from American colonists that took place in December 1773. Colonists were furious at the British crown for all the taxation they'd imposed to them (without any representation in Parliament) as a way to gain revenue to pay for the war debts.
Although later on the Crown had repealed some of the taxes imposed, the tea tax remained. When three tea-loaded ships came to America, a large number of colonist refused to pay and refused to unload the tea, instead, they dumped 342 chests of British tea into the harbor as an act of defiance to the monarchy.
