Work out the value of 2a + ay when a= 5 and y= -3

just plug in a = 5, y = -3 in that!
2a + ay = 2(5) + 5(-3) = 10 -15 = -5
thats it!

just plug the number for each letter it tell you plug 5 for letter a and then plug -3 for y
2(5)+(5)(-3)
10-15
