Literary analysis is identified as the examination of a story, play, novel, poem, or other artistic written work. It is done to give an in-depth explanation for these literary work and its parts.
There are five steps to perform in doing a literary analysis. These are:
1) Read for basic comprehension. (Enjoy the literary work and get the basic idea of what it is all about.)
2) Develop a thesis or central idea that the analysis will argue. (Be arguable, Be specific, Be clear)
3) Read for evidence - Identify phrases, clauses, or words that will support your thesis
4) Organize Evidence
5) Write analysis.
