in this problem, there is only one intersection point, because the problem above is two straight lines.

example problems above :

has two straight lines namely

y = 4x + 1...........(first equation)

and

y = -2x + 4............(second equation)

look for the x value first

y1 = y2

4x + 1 = -2x + 4

6x = 3

x = ½

then find the value of y by entering the first equation

y = 4x + 1

y = 4(½) + 1

y = 2 + 1

y = 3

Finally, the intended intersection point is (½,3)
