There was huge difference among the northern part of the United States of America and the southern part of the country.
Explanation:
The southern part was dependent upon farming and plantations where the slaves used to work and there fore it was a backward area. On the other side, the northern part of the country had big cities where there were factories and big markets.
This showed that this part of the country was much more developed. The southern part mostly had rural areas where as the northern part had urban areas.
