How do the two sources, “Remembering the Great Depression” and “FDR’s First Inaugural Address,” focus on different aspects of the Great Depression?

So in saying, my guess would be like the FDR's discovered the great depression and then told differences from the aspects in 1779 and the difference would be that the great depression has nothing to do with people being sad these days and only compares to bad things that happened that cause these things. The address was also created in 1779 and differences from the address was that not a lot of people were actually sad at that address during the great depression but most of the people were going through a lot and were poor and sad.
