Mediation is a private process in which a neutral third person is brought in to help two or more parties resolve their conflict. In this process a mediator who is the third neutral person will help these parties identify and discuss their issues, determine if they have any common interest and understand how each party feels about these issues. They all work together towards finding a solution to their conflict the mediator is there in all steps to ensure this occurs in as smoothly as possible through guiding them towards a common ground.

He is responsible for letting them know how everything will go towards the whole process of looking for a resolution and set the rules that must be adhered to.
