violence of World War I.

These were the result of the aftermath of the World War I. These young people who were at their twenties and thirties lost faith in patriotism, courage and humanity. They had seen death on a huge scale which instilled fear upon them and changed them to become aimless, reckless and focused on material wealth.
These people were mostly poets and writers who hailed from America but most of them emigrated to Europe. Francis (F.) Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway were also part of this group who were called “lost generation”.
