Reason why today Christians cannot show the same commitment as Abraham and Noah:
In my point of view, present period and early period is not the same and the people around us were also not same to have same commitments of Abraham and Noah.God asked Abraham and Noah to do some things he deemed important and in return he assured he would take special care of them. God asked them to ask their descendants to obey God and in return, God would protect and guide them. One cannot discover the art of commitment and it is learned by what we see around us.
The world around has become more self-centered and people around have become selfish and rude to each other. This discourages people to show the level of care and love to people surrounding them. People do not care for their neighbors then how can one expect more from them. Today's world has changed seeing the past and is changing every day. Today's generation is far less willing to commit to anything as they do not care much.
