Flappers, as the modern women were called, were attracting attention every day during this tumultuous period with their appearance, demeanor, and the expressions they use that are unique to them and much different from those that were appropriate to the generations of women before them.
for some people, predominantly for the female population, flappers were considered heroines of the twentieth century, while others viewed them as a disgrace and a desecration of all that the cult of women represented. They were a danger to social norms that had been built up for centuries as right and steadfast. The virus of morality is spreading in America, and more and more people are getting sick, and while the learned people sought a cure for this contagion, young ladies visited jazz clubs and openly flirted with the gentlemen who would find themselves there.
By the late 1920s, the story of free and glamorous women was beginning to fade and disappear from the front pages of American newspapers. The stock market crash and the onset of the famous Great Depression did their part. In a time of unemployment and famine, no one even thought of the fun and fun that plagued the twenties as its main seal.
