Westerlies: Also known as anti-trade wind as these are strong air currents that flow from the western to the eastern direction, opposite to the direction of the trade wind.
The direction of the westerlies changes as per the change in hemispheres as they flow from west to east in the Northern Hemisphere and from east to west in the Southern Hemisphere.
There are certain factors that contribute to the formation of the tropical low storms such as warm sea surface and temperature, high humidity, presence of low-pressure zones.
As westerlies are the warm tropical wind that tends to produce enough Coriolis effect to stir the low-pressure zone and cause atmospheric instability for the formation of Tropical low cyclonic storms.
